We emphasize discipline of the body, calming of the mind and cultivation of the spirit. Self-confidence is at the very heart of the art of Soo Bahk Do and students will develop an inner strength which will help them to react correctly in many confrontational situations, physical or otherwise.
Many parents report marked improvement in their child student’s performance in school and other activities outside of the Dojang. This focus is one of the primary concepts of Soo Bahk Do – even our adult members notice a difference after a short time training.
It is a requirement in the Dojang that students are respectful of their master and senior students. This behavior comes with very little direct teaching, and manifests itself outside of training as well.
